Things to Remember
- Lane sharing: please limit to four people per lane.
- Locker rooms are available for use.
Water Aerobics
- Classes at 7:30 AM, Monday–Friday at the Outdoor Pool, with additional 12:00 PM classes on Tuesday & Thursday in the Indoor Pool.
- Please exit the indoor pool area promptly to allow the next swimmers to enter.
- Water aerobics reservations do not count toward lap lane reservation limits.
Indoor Pool Lap Swim Reservations
The Indoor Pool uses a lap lane reservation system through Setmore. Please reserve your lane here.
Thank you for your patience as we provide as much space and time as possible for all members. We will continue to re-evaluate and add opportunities as space and time allow.
Pool Rules
A lifeguard must be present to use the pool. All swimmers must obey lifeguards at all times.
- Shower required before entering the pool.
- Baby pool is for children 5 & under. A parent/guardian (16+) must accompany; young siblings may not supervise.
- Non-swimmers must remain within arm’s reach of a parent/adult and in the shallow end. A swim test may be required.
- Swim diapers & rubber pants are required for children under age 4 (per JCC diaper policy).
- Flotation devices must be Coast Guard–approved; no water wings, rings, or rafts.
- Rest period: a 10-minute break is called at :50 each hour. Under 18 must exit the pool. Infants (1–12 months) may stay in an adult’s arms.
- Weather: pool and deck clear for at least 30 minutes after thunder; entire area clears for lightning/severe weather. During tornado watch/warning, outdoor swimmers will be escorted to the main building.
- Food & drink: none in the water or within the blue safety line. Water only beyond the line, in non-breakable, spill-proof containers. Coolers and outside food/drinks allowed; no glass or outside alcohol.
- Lap lanes are for lap swimmers/walkers only; no hanging on lane lines, ladders, or safety ropes. By reservation only; please follow reservation policies.
- Footwear: no street shoes in the water; water-approved shoes only.
- Throwing activities (e.g., football) may be restricted during crowded times for safety.
- Exercise equipment (barbells, pull buoys, paddles, kickboards, etc.) is for lap swimmers, swim team, or water aerobics participants only.
- Deep end / long course may be limited during TigerSharks practices and swim lessons.
- No running, roughhousing, or sitting on shoulders.
- No chewing gum.
- No smoking.
- No glass.
- No squirt guns.
- No animals (except service animals).
