The J Movie Club
We’re building a stronger film club. We help members explore foreign films, documentaries focused on specific issues, collections from featured actors or directors, specific genres. Sometimes, we even select a series of films with similar story structures, such as the hero’s journey. So, come watch and discuss a fabulous movie with us! Bring your lunch and we’ll serve the popcorn.

Coffee Mornings at the J (Drop-in)
A casual social gathering for coffee and conversation. Join us on scheduled Friday mornings. Drop in for FREE coffee, pastries and informal conversation in a coffee shop setting. Meet old and new friends. Check out our events page or home page for upcoming dates.
The most welcoming group at the Gordon JCC is the Prime Time Group for active senior adults. The group hosts a wide range of activities including monthly dinners with interesting programs, monthly meetings, day and overnight trips, parties, brunches and lunches, holiday programs, and cultural events including plays and the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) Broadway series. The group also gets together for concerts, pot luck dinners with original entertainment, and community events. The Prime Time group hosts a yearly retreat or trip; last year in Huntsville, Alabama! Help plan our programs! We hold monthly planning meetings. Open to everyone.
