The Gordon JCC maintains a range of material in our Archives. If you have any questions, please feel free to Ask an Archivist! Those who are interested in archival research may be interested in Using Archives: A Guide to Effective Research by Laura Schmidt and the Society of American Archivists.
Our collection includes manuscripts, photographs, microfilm, and a range of media (audio and video recordings), complemented by a large collection of ephemeral materials: newspaper and magazine clippings, leaflets, brochures, pamphlets, and organizational minutes, reports & news releases, as part of our “Nearprint” collection. The Nearprint collections reflect the day-to-day development of Jewish life in mid and late twentieth-century Nashville, and include private family collections that have been donated to the JCC.
The collection is cataloged in the Nashville Jewish Archives Online Catalog.
