Sports Photography Photo Contest

Dury’s Photo and the Gordon Jewish Community Center are sponsoring a Sports Photography contest open to all photographers, amateur and professional, who are members of the GJCC or one of the 5 congregations. The contest is being judged by local, professional photographers. Winners will have their photos framed and exhibited in the Sports Gallery of the Gordon Jewish Community Center during the month of October and November.

Contest is being judged by Nashville Predator’s team photographer, John Russell,  Nashville’s Tennessee Titan’s team photographer, Don Jones and Charles Small, CEO of Dury’s / US Presswire.

Each entry will be in one of four categories: Action Photographs (includes Extreme Sports, Rodeo, Skateboarding, Nascar Football, Baseball etc.), Youth Sports, Sports Figures or Sports Related photos (including Stadiums, Mascots, Cheerleaders, Tailgaiting etc.) There will be a five dollar filing fee per image submitted. Photos will be judged on composition, overall presentation, artistic sense of photography and adherance to theme. Final images chosen will be in a gallery exhibition (mounted and framed) with three prizes, Gold, Silver and Bronze.
